Northeast Valley Health Corporation (NEVHC) seeks to increase WIC awareness, enrollment, retention, and participation among California State University, Northridge, (CSUN) students, staff, faculty, and surrounding community, specifically the African American population.

Through tabling, partnering with campus organizations, focus groups, and surveys, NEVHC will better understand and address the barriers faced by their distinct priority population.

This project is innovative for its focus on campus populations and use of university resources, like data, student groups, and MPH-RD students.

The lessons learned from this project will be shared at local symposiums, consortia, and conferences. The procedure manual of outreach activities will be shared with other campus communities and WIC clinics.
